When things and people are draining you spiritually

there are many things in live that we feel we are obligated to hold on to even though at time these same things began to drain you -what do you do, how do you handle this or do you just let it go ....?

Pray and ask the Lord to be a shield around and about as well as over and under you to shield you from these "vampires".Also pray to the Archangel Michael and him to cut cords that are draining you and also ask him to protect against those draining influences!!!I too feel that way after spending time with certain people but prayer helped it !!!
Be blessed

Life in itself has to be compartmentalized by priorities. What is important and who is important. There are some things in our lives and people in our lives that we tolerate only because we ourselves have not developed the power to say "NO". We sometimes get into situations because we dont know how to ask ourselves the right questions. "Is this a person that I can help?" "Is this a situation that I have control over?", "Does this person add value to my life or is this person just stealing my time and energy?". If we really evaluate some of our life situations we will find that we are obligated to very few things. We choose to obligate ourselves to many things. I believe that when you begin to feel that pressure of being overwhelmed by obligations, it is a sign that it is time to step back from some things and people and pray and ask God to help you put your priorities in order. There is a model I follow, God first, (which does not include the church, just simply my relationship and fellowship with God), Then Family (which includes doing what I need to do to provide emotionally, spiritually, and financially for "myself" and my "immediate" family.) and then Ministry (which includes all the people I counsel, run to the store, help out in anyway, or the church). I have not always known how to prioritize but now that I do there is no better feeling of empowerment than telling someone "NO" I cant do that! I hope this blesses you, Prophetess Audrey

Learning to let go is one of t he hardest things for us to do. Knowing when enough is enough can sometimes cause much pain, but in the long run, it works for your good. With prayer, you can do anything, yes! even conqueror those situations that seem to hold you hostage. God has a way of working things out for your good. Let go and Let God.

The familiar saying, "Let Go and Let God," is an indicatior, that when we are faced with circumstances, and situations that can become unbearable, we are to release them into the care of our loving God. He has instructed us to cast all our cares upon him, for he cares for us, and I believe that is a standing invitation for whatever it is, that we are faced with. God is faithful, and he won't put more on us than we can bear, but in the event that we choose to carry our loads, he is still there, ready and willing to come to our rescue. Sometimes, in our impatient state, we tend to want to do God's job, but take a hint from the wise; "he doesn't need your help, just your FAITH. That is what unlocks the door to peace and contentment.. Rest in HIM.
