How do you feel about Hip Hop dance ministries?

Being a part of a hip hop dance ministry has its ups and downs, when a church is really moved by what we're doing it's the best feeling in the world. However, there have been times when it didn't seem like the people were really feeling our ministry. I used to get real mad cause we're a group of young/ about to be middle-aged people making an attempt to spread the gospel and I understand that everybody doesn't praise like we do, but sometimes it seems like some people go out of their way to show outright disgust about what we're doing. It doesn't bother me like it used to cause some of the things Jesus did were offensive to some people, but I just don't understand the need to treat us like lepers cause if you don't like what we're doing. I want to know how ya'll feel about the whole Christian-Hip Hop thing?

Well now, this is a subject that is really hot! Let me first start by saying that what anyone thinks about hip hop dance or the whole hip hop revolution is irrevelant. Hip Hop is here to stay! At least until the next generation comes up with their own sound. But Hip Hop is the sound of this generation. Every generation has its own sound. Unfortunately the church has lagged behind in this matter. The sound comes from God, its just we were, and some still are, so bound by our traditions that we couldn't hear well spiritually. I happen to be cross generational right now. I was a young teen in the church when hip hop began. I also remember when people like Andre Crouch were being rebuked and spoke out against because of the contemporary sound in there music. Well we now call him a Gospel Great, A giant in the Gospel music industry. He was able to usher Gospel music to a new level because he was bold enough to stand and be different and declare a new sound in the spirit. Hip Hop should have began in the church but our small mindedness about what was acceptable to God threw it to the world and it has now become a phenomenon. I am not a Hip Hop advocate, I am a prophet with the spiritual ear to hear. It is your responsibilty as young people to release the sound of your generation. It is that sound that will reach them and bring them into the Kingdom of God. So if those that you perform for dont respond to you, its because your sound was not designed nor released by God to reach them. Dance stronger, Pray harder, stand bolder. It is your time to go forth. In about 10 years, there will be a whole new sound and it will be getting the same drama. lol. Love you all! Prophetess Audrey

I feel how ever and what ever the lord give you in as way to minister to his people, please do it to the glory of GOD! And make sure it is of GOD and not of man.. We need to know what reaches the community and the youth of this time .. I say be Blessed in what you do for GOD.

The Bible says put a difference between holy and unholy.You just can't bring the world into the church thats what alot of people are tring to do.In Matthews chapter 21 vs 12 it reads ''And Jesus went into the temple of God and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers and the seats of them that sold doves and vs 13'' And said unto them it is written my house shall be called the house of prayer but ye have made it a den of thieves. So you see many people are trying to bring the world into the church and God is not happy. how can i put a differance between holy if i'm singing hip hop in the house of God.There must be a differance thats why now a day you can't even go in a church and see true holy people because everyone looking and living the same way.God's standards are like the army you can't do what you want in the army nor say what you feel or even wear what you want. we need to look like Gods people.Now back in the day we had songs like down at the cross,at the cross.Lord save me,Hold me Jesus Hold me in the Palm of your hand(praise song)and we even had testamony service now we have praise dancer and now its like when ever the world move the church do the same thing.The world have hip hop now we have holy hip hop wheres the differance. people use to go through test and shout there way out now we got hip hop and now they move to the groove they way out.come on now.now you praise him the way you want to because he has said praise him in your own way. but make sure its a holy way remember you can't boot leg your way into heaven. and will God have you hip hoping in heaven.and God said in his word in 2nd thessalonians chapter 2 vs 14-15 says'' Whereunto he called you by our gospel to the obtaining of the glory of our lord jesus christ. 15'' Therefore brethren stand fast,and hold the traditions which ye have been taught whether by word or our epistle (and thats Holiness) now i come in peace i don't mean no harm but its best to search God for yourself he said knock and it shall be opened seek and you shall find.he also said if any man lack wisdom let him ask.However remember all things are possible to them that believeth MAY THE LORD FOREVER KEEP YOU IN THE CENTER OF HIS WILL KEEP THE FAITH AND STAY IN THE HOLY RACE............................ yours because of christ Bishop R.R Matheney

Praise the Lord Let me start off by saying that God is a Holy God and a Holy God Requires a Holy People. Just because you put Holy Hip Hop be not foolish in your thoughts God is not pleased. Holy and Hip Hop will never mix. He said in Leviticus Be Ye holy for i am HOLY. Jesus didn't go about preaching to the people rapping. God requires a standard and the church has let the standard DOWN. If the church is the LIght then why are there so many saints in darkness. I'll tell you why the preacher is preaching money, power, forturne and gain. The bible says "Follow peace with all men holiness without which no man shall see the Lord". now a days the saints just let anything goes in the church. God believes in a standard. And not everybody preaching is preaching what God is saying in the last and evil days. God is not preaching wealth when you have a whoremongering preacher or sister singing in the chior be no decieved. This is yours in the masters service brother anthony smith.
